Kaiju Panic is a hybrid strategy - tower defence - squad control game with a bright and colourful art style. Take control of a field operative in an international disaster response organisation. Build, fight and rescue your way through a wide variety of locations around the world.

For this game I was responsible for the entire art development from art style to frontend, HUD, asset creation and animation. I really enjoyed creating artwork for this game. The entire process was rather painless and ran much smoother than I had ever expected. Below you can see a selection of the work that I did.

The game is available on Xbox One, PC and Mac.

There are 6 environments within the game. For each environment I created a tile map consisting of roads, rivers, lakes and mountains. In addition to that I also created many buildings and props to populate the world with.

I created roughly 180 civilians for the game. Each one required a front view, three quarter front view and three quarter back view.

For the game I created and animated many kaiju. Some of them just required a front and back walk cycle whereas the larger ones required front and back attack and death animation. Animating was probably the most time consuming part of development. Overall I'm very happy with how they turned out.
